It is a medical specialty that involves study, diagnosis, prevention and cure of the disorders related to oral cavity, including the jaws, oral mucosa, adjacent and related facial structures and tissues. Trained dentistry professionals or dentists carry out the extensive procedures involved in the invasive and non-invasive treatment of disorders like tooth decay, gingivitis, dental plaque, oral cancer; and offer solutions like scaling, extraction or restoration of teeth, surgical removing, root planning, and root canal treatment.
